Cortney Morris is the Vice President of Your Performance People and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience. She began schooling with a focus in psychology and spent a great deal of time working as a member of a behavioral research team. During this time, she developed a love of learning how to implement research into the real world. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in School Counseling. After graduation, she accepted a position as a family therapist working with high-risk children and families. The focus of her work was creating environmental change in order to effect behavioral change.
Having grown up in a coaching household, Cortney was always drawn to the field. In 2013, she decided to put her energy and focus on transferring her skillset to working with business professionals, and so she obtained her certification as a Master Practitioner of NLP. In 2014, she became a Certified Personal and Executive Coach through the CAPP Institute and began her coaching career with MAPS coaching. She continues to engage with higher-learning organizations as she pursues very specific designations around neuroscience, focusing on individual and organizational performance. Since this time, she has delivered transformational sessions to large groups, co-facilitated many break-out sessions during Keller Williams (a real estate franchise system) events, and co-wrote and facilitated Mastering Your Mind. She works with individuals to help them maximize their potential through conversations that are empowering, challenging, results-focused, and fun. In June of 2018, she left MAPS to pursue her passion of neuro-based coaching.
As a millennial, she can easily relate to a generation that has grown up on social media and technology. As the product of two entrepreneurs, she has lived a life understanding that a person creates their experience based on their focus. She brings a unique perspective, and a steady no-nonsense-yet-caring approach to her coaching.
Cortney resides in Austin, Texas with her husband, Andrew.
